The Net Generation Goes to College

In the article "The Net Generation Goes To College,"  it talks about how the new generation of students are learning differently than earlier generations.  The new generation of students are using more technology to learn instead of traditional methods.  Their assignments are off the computer instead of books, writing on a computer rather than pencil and paper, etc.  I grew up in this generation of learning with more technology, but not as much as students are using today.  I know at this day and age, we are switching to technology as our teaching tools but I don't necessarily agree with it.  I like the traditional way of teaching.  Our generation is beginning to substitute going outside and playing to video games, and computers for their activities.   I think we should let younger students use technology in moderations because they need to develop normally and this won't happen if everything goes technical.  In college, I think computers are technology are a great learning tool.  Students can stay in contact with other students and teachers without any problem.  I believe technology is very important in higher education because in the business world, you need to be prepared for it.  I just don't think young children should spend all their time on it.
